For Porcelain and Pottery Users:

Just wanted to give you another update on your products for china mending.  I have to say that I am extremely pleased!  Indeed, I think the Klass Kote product works better than anything I have used in the past.  It sprays through the airbrush like a dream and lies down smoothly with no dripping or dragging.

I sprayed some white on a test tile and stuck it out on my southern window sill.  This is a sill that I have to paint every 2-3 years because the sun hits so hard there.  After somewhere between 3-4 weeks, I checked the yellowing.  It was barely perceptible.  The paint held up with no degeneration through all of the rain we had in that period, too.

If you remember, one of the things I was worried about was reversibility and methyl chloride (zip strip) works just fine for that purpose even after it has hardened up for a couple of weeks.

Absolutely the "SWEETEST" Paint...

Absolutely the "SWEETEST" Paint...

This is absolutely the "SWEETEST" paint I have ever used! I applied it over K&B Ultra Poxy primer that was 10 months old on the plane after a 400 grit sanding. I used an HVLP gun and reduced the paint 100% 35 minutes after catalyst was added. The paint laid out perfectly and the metals had enough time to set correctly! There was not even a hint of a run, which is very unusual given that I am a 'heavy coater'.

Thanks, Len,

You have a winner!

You have a winner!

The satin black was just what was needed.  It came this morning and I used it this PM.  Also congratulations on your mix of Olive Drab.  It matches the model part I painted with AAF original back in 1945. The article with photos will be in the mail to RCM tomorrow.  I didn't find anything not to like in your products.  You have a winner.  Hope you can get them into the hobby shops soon.  I know a lot of scale modelers who still love epoxy paints.

Hi Klass Kote

I have attached a photo of my Black Brant II rocket.

This is my first attempt at using Klass Kote and I am REALLY impressed.  I have not spray painted in almost 25 years and your product is extremely forgiving.  I shot the Klass Kote with an Iwata LPH 80 HVLP gun with a 1.0mm tip.

Wow !  Thanks for a great product.

Best regards

I Was Delighted!

I Was Delighted!

Friends,

I had used K&B clear for a top coat for years. I was delighted to see a product that was similar on the market again. Congratulations. Got a set and shot a coat on my newly completed Spitfire a few days ago. Great stuff. Had to apply in temp. of 102 degrees but no problem with the reducer at 30% of the volume. Used an old trick we used to do with K%B to get a more scale like gloss by using a mix of 2/3 satin catalyst and 1/3 gloss. I was surprised to see the high gloss that resulted. I guess I should have used straight satin catalyst. Will you have a "dead ftat" catalyst in the future? Is there any way to adjust the gloss? Thanks for bringing a really good "two part" sealer coat back for R/C. Here's a shot of my KfirC-1/USN F-21.The model was in "Pilot Projects" in the current issue of Model Airplane News. I had to use Poly-U on it and it's already yellowing. Not unusual here in Souther Calif. Only  95 degrees yesterday!

Keep up the great work......Tony Kameen

"Liked Your Products Very Much"

"Liked Your Products Very Much"

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let you know that I'm very impressed with your paints.  I'm not a good painter but liked your products very much as they are very easy and simple to use and despite all my efforts, I could not get this paint to run anywhere on the plane which btw I have always managed in the past with other products.  That is how inexperienced I'm with painting.  I used your product in temperatures way below your recommendations with excellent results.  I just wanted this project finished so I can move on over to the next one hence the rush.

Anyway, great product and service.  Here are some pictures of my plane which is twin turbine powered.  I'm just finishing some final detail and then looking forward to lots of flying.

Best Regards,

I Love This Paint!

I Love This Paint!

It is a stand-off scale model, not a Masters Scale. I love this paint and so does my father-in-law that helped me paint it. He has restored cars and loves how the paint goes on. Anyway, I have attached the pictures for you.

"Even Better Than HobbyPoxy"

"Even Better Than HobbyPoxy"

From what I can see, this Klass Kote stuff is really nice to work with and EVEN better than HobbyPoxy and I thought I would never say that. If it keeps doing what it has done for me, then I and several others are going to be happy. This is not a good picture, but this is your stuff at its best, I believe.

I have been asked from time to time what epoxy or epoxies I use for my feather work and I have always told everyone that I use HobbyPoxy. I had recently discovered that HobbyPoxy now longer exists, except for my stash. I have now experimented and found a substitute and it is even better than HobbyPoxy.

I use Klass Kote NOW and it is some really nice stuff. It is gin clear, very thin and VERY VERY sand paper friendly. What I mean by that is that when you sand it smooth for the final coats, it fills in all scratches and finishes as nice as Hobby Poxy when applied to the sanded area. Because it is thin, it really fills in the scratches and levels nicely.

Skymaster F-15 covered w/Klass Kote Epoxy PaintsHi Nate:

I would like to thank you for your assistance with my painting needs.  My last project finish was spectacular.  Attached is a photo of my Skymaster F-15 using your paints. My current project is a Comp ARF Spitfire, and I would like to use the same type of paint...

Painting Instruments

Organ painted with White Klass Kote Epoxy paintI'm spray-painting with Cambell-Hausfeld semi-pro HVLP unit. Two instruments in white, one in black.

My customer desires a semi-gloss appearance which mimicks original finish. I mixed ratios of Satin to Gloss 2:1 by volume. Result was a smooth consistent appearance, which I can control with HVLP equipment with speed of application.

Most Durable Finish Ever Used

Most Durable Finish Ever Used

After two trips to Toledo, the AMA NATS, Scale Masters Qualifier and several years of sport flying, my Grumman Lynx looks as good as the day it was completed.  Klass Kote is the most durable finish I have ever used.  I especially like the sharp lines I see when I pull off the masking tape.  And I don't need a clear coat for a glossy finish.  I've used dope and auto paints for decades but Klass Kote is just as light and far more durable.

My latest is a fifth-scale Focke Wulf TA 152H done in Klass Kote thoughout but this time in a semi-flat finish.  The primer was applied with a miniroller, the base color was laid down with a spray gun and the remaining colors were applied with an air brush.  I am impressed with Klass Kote's versatility and durability.

Thanks for a fine product.

Best wishes,

Thanks for developing this great product.

Thanks for developing this great product.

Hi,

Attached is a photo of a restored control line model originally built in 1951, top-coated with your Klass Kote clear.  I restored this ancient Debolt SportWing as a project for my web site www.ClassicAircraftModels.com .  Although my restorations use authentic dope finishes, I always top-coated with HobbyPoxy to preserve the finish.  With the passing of that product I thought I would never find a suitable substitute, but your clear epoxy has proven to be a perfect replacement.

It sprays beautifully and hardens quickly to a fine gloss finish.  The gloss on the SportWing is entirely from a single coat of Klass Kote...the dope finish substrate was thin, and the silk weave was prominant.  A single light coat of your product made the model look like it has twenty coats of rubbed-out dope.

Thanks for developing this great product.

The Paint is Easy to Use

The Paint is Easy to Use

This Paint is Easy to Use...I purchased some Klass Kote Epoxy to refinish a bath tub that was badly chipping away. This paint is so easy to use. I followed the directions that came with the kit, and it turned out fabulous! I will be using your products again when the next household projectt that needs protecting comes up. Thanks for a great product!
